Welcome to Dorchester. The ancient County Town of Dorset steeped in history. Within its heart our Grand Georgian Townhouse.
Built in 1815, and being Grade II listed, it retains the charm and grandeur of the Georgian age.
In the years we have made our home here, we have modernised and updated the house and rooms, whilst retaining many of the original features.
Westwood House has been lovingly reinvented as a grand but informal place to work, rest and play. A home from home just a stone's throw away from wonderful architecture, historic museums, streets lined with independent shops, boutiques, restaurants and bars. The Corn Exchange, literary events and arts festivals. All on the doorstep of the stunning landscape of the World Heritage Jurrassic Coast.
Westwood House offers 6 individually styled rooms and suites to retire to, all decorated in Farrow And Ball colours and paints. Big, comfy king-size beds, 1500 pocket sprung mattresses with Egyptian cotton bed linen, huge fluffy bath towels, drenching power showers and relaxing baths.
After a sound sleep tucked up in Egyptian cotton bedding, you awake to a freshly cooked breakfast, served in our light and airy conservatory, ready to head out to explore the many treasures of Dorchester and the surrounding areas.
CLEAN, SAFE AND CAREFUL
The health, safety and comfort of our guests has always been at the forefront of everything we stand for at Westwood House, even more so in this current Corona virus situation.
Due to Covid-19 Westwood House has implemented extra cleaning and dis-infecting protocols, utilising anti-bacterial and anti-viral cleaning products (compliant with BS EN 1276 certification which kills 99.999% of germs), with extra attention paid to high touch areas, such as TV remotes, light switches etc.
We look forward to welcoming you to Westwood House soon.
